Parker trojan shotgun history6/3/2023 ![]() I realize it's not a fancy, top of the line gun, but I think it would make a nice addition to someone's collection, and I will include the letter with the gun. I would like for persons of bona fide expertise to offer opinions as to its value in U.S. I am interested in selling this gun at some point. The old leather case is falling apart and I don't know if it can be repaired. The stock having been created by my father's hand is the only reason I haven't sold it before.Īs far as I know, the only other non-original part is a 35 cent safety spring that is also documented in the letter. But I continued to shoot it for some time after that. He hunted with this gun every year from 1955 until sometime in the 70's when he bought a Remington 12 gauge. My dad hand carved a new stock out of walnut, and, as far as I can tell, did an impeccable job. ![]() The stock was broken when my dad bought it from a gentleman in Lonsdale, Ark., in 1955. It was my dad's gun and has been laying in a closet for 30+ years. This gun has serial number 188833 and accompanying letter dated July 20, 1955, signed FT Plunkett, Parker Service Division, Ilion, NY.
